Upon my recent visit to Gasthaus Tell, I found it to be a pleasant surprise in the heart of Andermatt. The Swiss-South African couple who own the hotel were warm and accommodating, offering us free beer upon arrival and ensuring our stay was comfortable. The rooms, while small, were well-maintained and had all the necessary amenities, including a mini-fridge and a good selection of teas and coffee. Despite the limited parking options, we found a public parking lot nearby which was convenient. The restaurant at the hotel served delicious dishes blending South African and Swiss cuisines, adding a unique touch to our dining experience.In terms of value, Gasthaus Tell offers a great proposition considering its prime location and the quality of service provided. The rooms may be compact, but they are clean and equipped with modern amenities. The friendly staff and attention to detail make this hotel a worthwhile choice for travelers looking for a cozy and affordable stay in Andermatt.
